| Mill Cottage...
... is a recently renovated Victorian steam mill, standing by a stream. The water from the stream originally provided the steam to power the workings for grinding the corn for local farmers. The cottage has open farmland on two sides and sits in the corner of extensive cottage gardens which guests are welcome to enjoy.
There is a private parking space for at least two cars and the cottage is reached via a long gravel path through the garden. It is very private and quiet being well away from the lane and the main house and has its own patio with garden furniture and barbecue. On entering the cottage you will find a lovely cream fitted dining kitchen with lots of cupboard space. The attractive lounge is very comfortably furnished and has a remote control TV, DVD and CD/radio. Upstairs there are two prettily decorated bedrooms.
The cottage is oil central heated and full central heating is included in the price. It is fully furnished and extremely well equipped to make your stay as carefree and relaxing, as possible. Vegetables and salad are sometimes available depending on the time of year.
The cottage is about a mile from the centre of the village, up a quiet country lane, within easy walking distance of Welton golf club. It has 18 holes, a driving range and a very nice club house which serves meals and is open to the public.
RAF Scampton is not far away and you might be lucky and see the famous Red Arrows practising overhead, especially in winter.
